The BVI Business Companies (Amendment of Schedule 1) (No. 2) Order, 2022 comes into force on January 1, 2023. The Order among other things increases the Registration fees for BVI business companies and the annual renewal fees for existing BVI business companies.
Incorporation and Annual license fees will increase US$100.00 from $450.00 to $550.00 for companies authorized to issue up to 50,000 shares (standard companies) and US$150.00 from $1,200.00 to $1,350.00 for companies with over 50,000 shares.
Incorporation and Annual license fees will also increase for Private Trust Companies US$150.00 from $1,350.00 to $1,500.00 for standard companies and US$350.00 from $2,650.00 to $3,000.00 for companies over 50,000 shares.
The Registry fees for post-incorporation requests have also been increased. The most relevant changes are the following:
